On a partly sunny, blustery day, Jarred + Genna stood before their loved ones and made a covenant to be united as husband and wife. This is their wedding story.
PREPARATION
We met Jarred + Genna at the Hampton Inn in Barrie. They were both in their respective rooms readying for the big day, as Jarred’s dad polished up his baby blue Z28 out front. Upstairs, Genna read a sweet card from her husband-to-be, then opened a sentimental gift from her honey (a beautiful, bejeweled bumblebee necklace). Moments later, the matron of honour serenaded the bride with song, as she laced Genna into her gorgeous gown. Her father was right … Genna glows.
CEREMONY
We traveled to Snow Valley Resort for the outdoor ceremony. Guests sat under the tall trees to witness the sacred union of Jarred + Genna. Horns blew, and everyone cheered as the two were pronounced husband and wife.
“And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” (Ecclesiastes 4:12)
CREATIVE SESSION
After the ceremony, we gathered the family members and bridal party for portraits. We took the Z28, and one of the groomsman’s classic red trucks, out for a tour of the area, before making our way back to the ski lodge for the reception.
RECEPTION
Genna’s dad remained in the reception hall, placing final decorations on the cake he designed, as the other guests mingled in a nearby lounge. The room opened and each person made their way to their seats for the introduction of the happy couple. Jarred + Genna entered the room filled with their loved ones, smiling and supporting their special day. After a delicious turkey dinner (in celebration of the upcoming holiday), toasts were made by those near and dear to them. Jarred + Genna thanked their guests for coming, then the room emptied to prepare for worship time. Once the dance floor cleared, Jarred + Genna celebrated their wedding with a first dance to a powerful praise song. Everyone joined in worship time, honouring Christ for bringing these two together.

This wedding was more to me then just the unity of two people, it was the unity of two people who kept themselves pure.
And I have had the honour to watch them grow and mature as believers. But to capture this moment and to put all the extra hours of work in and the extra efforts to capture every memory. It is fantastic the work that was done.
