Jess + Ben | Wedding Photography Video in Blue Mountains, Ontario

Jess + Ben are married! You may remember Jess + Ben from their bicycle-themed fall engagement photography session in Blue Mountains, Ontario last year. They both love the outdoors and staying active, so the quaint lodge of Craigleith Ski Club, nestled in the woods of Collingwood, was the perfect setting for their celebration. This is their wedding story.

We began the day with Ben at the Grand Georgian Resort in Blue Mountain Village, as he and the guys were getting ready for the day. After a few moments with Ben, we walked around the corner to Weider Lodge to meet up with Jess and the ladies. They just got back from finishing their hair and make-up when we arrived, so were excited to get into their dresses and witness the big reveal with Jess’ dad. Jess’ Mom and maid of honour helped Jess into her stunning gown, as her father waited in the other room. He opened the door and could barely contain the overwhelming emotions, as he glanced at his beautiful daughter. There was not a dry eye in the room.

Rain fell from the sky, as we traveled into the heart of Collingwood to the Collingwood Museum for the first look. Jess + Ben selected a wonderful spot for this sweet moment. We captured some fun times with Hunter boots, umbrellas and the bridal party before heading to Craigleith Ski Club for the ceremony. The fireplace blazed in the background, creating a cozy atmosphere for Jess + Ben to say their vows. The two were pronounced husband and wife to the cheers of their loved ones, and headed up the aisle as newlyweds.

Guests entered the cocktail area and snacked on delicious hor d’oeuvres, while we captured family portraits. Jess, Ben and the bridal party were announced into the room and it was time for dinner, heartfelt speeches and the cake cutting. Once Jess + Ben thanked their loved ones for sharing in their special day, the two headed outside for their first dance under the fairy lights. A rain mist filled the air, but it didn’t stop the guests from lighting candles and surrounding the couple as they danced. Then, surprise! Fireworks lit up the sky to the surprise and delight of the couple (they had no idea!) and the guests. After the show illuminated the night, each person made their way back indoors to dance the night away. Everyone had a blast!
