Dustin + Amy are married! You may remember them from their lovely lakeside engagement photography session at the family cottage in Muskoka, Ontario last summer. “Family first, family always” (Barbara Legate). Family is so important to Dustin + Amy, and it was an absolute delight to spend the day with this incredible couple and their loved ones as they celebrated their union. This is their wedding story.

Our first stop of the day was Craigleith Ski Club to focus on the brilliant decor and design (by Cathy Lane) for the wedding. The room was bright and beautiful. Next, we traveled to the Westin Trillium House in Blue Mountain to meet with Dustin and the guys. They were all dressed and ready to go, so we headed into the heart of the village for some portraits with the guys, Dustin’s mother and Amy’s dad. After a few moments with the gentlemen, we headed over to the Legate-Wolfe chalet in Collingwood to join Amy and the ladies, as they prepped for the day. Amy was just finishing her make-up, all aglow and ecstatic for the day’s events. She went upstairs to slip into her stunning gown with the help of her sister. Her Mom and Dad came upstairs and Amy hid peeked around the corner for a sweet reveal with her parents. We all went back downstairs for a champagne toast and photo session with the bridesmaids and family, before going back to Craigleith for the ceremony and reception.

Dustin + Amy read their personalized vows in an adorably sweet ceremony among their family and friends. Once the ceremony ended, we captured family and bridal party portraits in the field, while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the back deck of the club. Dustin + Amy soon joined their guests for fun conversation, laughs and lots of hugs. After a receiving line, which led guests to their seats, the bridal party was announced into the room. Dustin + Amy immediately went into their first dance. Dinner and toasts followed, and it was time for the parent dances. Amy twirled around the dance floor with her Dad to an upbeat tune, while Dustin and his Mom shared a slow dance. The dance portion of the party was on. Such a fun night!
