Biljana + Joe | Wedding Photography Fusion in Brampton, Ontario
Last summer, we had a brief chat on the phone with Biljana + Joe about their upcoming winter wedding. We instantly loved their bubbly personalities and were absolutely thrilled when they asked us to capture their day. Later that year, we got the opportunity to spend a gorgeous Toronto day with them along Humber Bay Bridge for their engagement photography session. Fast forward to several months later, and their big day was finally here! This is their wedding story.
PREPARATION
We arrived early Saturday morning to meet with Joe and the guys at his parents house in Richmond Hill. Only a few finishing touches and they were ready to go. Biljana had a surprise gift for Joe. We were so excited that we were able to capture his reaction, as he opened the box containing a beautiful photo book of their love story. The guys headed downstairs for a toast and a sip from the Serbian traditional flask to celebrate the day.
We left the gentlemen and traveled to a nearby hotel in Vaughan. The bridesmaids were wearing lovely soft pink dresses and sipping on mimosas, while Biljana read a sweet card from Joe in the adjacent room. She, then, slipped into her stunning gown and presented gifts to the ladies (ivory pashminas and adorable earmuffs). It was time to board the bus.
CEREMONY
St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church is a quaint church located in Brampton. Friends and family gathered inside the warmth of the cozy church to witness and support Biljana + Joe in the declaration of their marriage vows. They exchanged rings, the church bells rang and Biljana + Joe strolled up the aisle for the first time as husband and wife.
CREATIVE SESSION
The bridal party hopped inside the limo bus to make their way over the McMicheal Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg, ON. What a gorgeous day and location for photos! Snow gently fell in the background, as we captured amazing moments with this fun group. We didn’t have to go too far to find places to shoot, which was a good thing because it was below freezing. Everyone did a stellar job enduring the weather and wet ground. Before boarding the bus, it was time for a surprise champagne saber toast by one of the groomsmen! Daring!
RECEPTION
We traveled over to Paradise Banquet Hall for the reception. The beautifully decorated hall was filled with an assortment of food for everyone to enjoy as they entered the ballroom. Biljana, Joe, their parents and bridal party greeted guests with handshakes, hugs and shots. The couple entered to a round of applause. Biljana + Joe shared in their first dance. Speeches and dinner commenced, interspersed with special dances. Good Vibrations pumped up the crowd and set the party off. It was an incredible night!
