Alex + Asha are an extraordinary couple. They persevere through life’s challenges with a purposefulness and positivity that is inspiring. They bring light and hope into any situation and it was a an absolute honour to capture this special day in their lives. This is their wedding story.
On a beautiful, unseasonably warm fall day in November, Alex + Asha became husband and wife. Their ceremony and reception took place at JW Marriott The Rosseau Muskoka Resort located atop the hills of majestic Muskoka. We began the day with the guys and ladies in their respective suites, as they spent the morning with their bridal party, opening gifts and celebrating the day. Asha was a stunning vision of beauty in her satin hoop gown and Alex was handsome in his black, three-piece suit. From there, we headed down to the dock for a first look and creative session with our good friends from Rowell Photography, before making our way back up the hill to the ceremony. Due to the gorgeous weather, the nuptials were outdoors on the patio under the perfectly blue sky.
Alex + Asha exchanged rings and heartfelt vows, then were pronounced husband and wife to the cheers of the crowd. Some guests mingled on the deck, while others headed towards the immaculately decorated grand ballroom for cocktail hour. After family portraits, Alex + Asha were presented into the room and it was time for dinner. Speeches were filled with tears and laughter as loved ones toasted the couple. Alex + Asha cut their custom cake and an announcement from the emcee invited guess to head outside to witness a surprise for the couple. Fireworks lit up the night sky! Alex + Asha were amazed at the beautiful gift from their family. After the brilliant light show, we all made our way back to the reception for the first dance and parent dances. Then, everyone gathered on the dance floor for a traditional dance and the party was underway! What a fun night!
