Jessica + David | Wedding Photography in Toronto, ON

On a surprisingly warm and sunny Saturday afternoon in August, Jessica + David were married. They happen to both be friends of Erin + Darren, a wonderful couple, whose wedding we were fortunate enough to capture last year in Barrie. It was really great to see so many familiar faces, and to meet new ones. This is the wedding story of Jessica + David.

PREPARATION
We met David, and his groomsmen, in their room at the Residence Inn in Vaughan, ON. All the guys looked dapper in their bow ties and suspenders. As the guys were getting ready, David’s dad brought over a gift from Jessica. David opened the box in front of his groomsmen, and they all went wild over his new gold chain! We spent a few more moments with the fellas in, and outside, of the hotel, then headed down, to the floor below, to meet Jessica and the ladies.

Jessica was dressed in her silk white “Bride” robe, as she read a sweet hand-written note from her husband-to-be. She opened her gift, a beautiful necklace, with their wedding date engraved in roman numerals on the front. Jessica gathered her things, then walked next door to her parent’s room to change into her bridal gown. She was a vision of beauty in the dress! When she appeared before her bridesmaids and David’s mom in her stunning gown, they could barely hold back their excitement. Shrieks of glee and shouts of exclamation, were followed by tears of happiness, as she entered the room. Now it was time to head to the church.

CEREMONY
Jessica + David gathered among family and friends, in the historic Timothy Eaton Memorial Church, for their wedding ceremony. When the couple were pronounced husband and wife, the whole room stood to their feet and applauded. It was quite an event!

CREATIVE
We took the immediate family and bridal party outside the massive church for the creative session. The beautiful brick building, filled with lush greenery, was an ideal ideal background for formal portraits. After a few moments with their loved ones, Jessica + David stole away to Sir Winston Churchill Park, a nearby Toronto landmark, for photographs in the parkland.

RECEPTION
All the guests filled the foyer of the Queen Anne at the Paradise Banquet Hall in Vaughan, ON. Everyone lined up to sign the guest book, receive their gift bottle of wine, and partake in shots (deliciously coated in chocolate). Jessica + David mingled with their guests, while the staff prepared the hall for the antipasto and grand entrance.

And what an entrance! A spectacle of lights danced around the room, as the bridal party entered the building. People stood to their feet to welcome them into the room. Jessica + David, then, shared a tender moment, as they celebrated with a first dance.

Toasts and blessings were given to the couple, then it was time for the four-course meal and formal speeches. In between courses, the bridal party would spin a wheel to get the couple to kiss. Every time, they landed on a fun activity (moonwalk back to seat, hula hoop competition, etc.) and every time, Jessica + David kissed for the crowd. It was super cute!

After dessert, Jessica + David invited their parents to join them for a dance. After sweet and sentimental parent dances, and special words from the couple, Good Vibrations set the party off. The entire room gathered on the dance floor to raise the roof!

THANK YOU
Thank you so much, Jessica + David, for allowing us to capture your wedding day! We wish you both all the best!
