Meaghan + Luke | Wedding Photography in Bradford, ON
There are no words to describe the genuinely loving, kind and compassionate characteristics of this incredible couple. Meaghan + Luke are one of a kind. This is their wedding story.
We arrived on the tree-filled grounds of Belcroft Estates in the early afternoon to meet with Meaghan + Luke. We were welcomed with hugs and huge smiles. There was a sense of peace in the air. It was a great start to a beautiful day. Little did we know it was only going to get better and better.
The ladies were upstairs in the loft finishing their make-up and getting into their gorgeous dresses. Meaghan took a moment to open her gift from Luke – jewelry and framed sheet music from their first dance. Meaghan’s dress was a stunning classic ball gown, delicately crafted with lace, tulle and a sweetheart neckline. Once the back was zipped, Meaghan’s super sweet mother and maid of honour carefully crocheted her into the gown.
Luke was hanging out downstairs in the “Man Cave” in the garage below with the guys. They were laughing, joking and playing billiards in their bow ties and suspenders. Luke slipped on his suit jacket and leather shoes, and readied himself for the ceremony.
The ceremony was held in a gazebo by the lake. It was one of the most entertaining and heart-warming ceremonies we’ve ever attended. The joy of the couple and their loved ones was palpable. They shared their vows and kissed. Taylor, Luke’s sister, sang a beautiful and emotional ballad to the couple as they signed the marriage license. To end the ceremony, Meaghan + Luke rang the bell and walked together happily, hand-in-hand up the aisle as newlyweds.
Family and bridal portraits were taken in the courtyard, while guests enjoyed cocktail hour and the soulful stylings of a few members from the band, Saturday Night Jive. A Polaroid photo booth station was a popular spot in the corner. We got to traverse the grounds of Belcroft Estates with the couple, before heading inside for the reception.
The grand entrance was followed by a toast and grace, then it was time to dine. Speeches were intermingled between courses. Countless tales were told of Meaghan + Luke’s selflessness and compassion. Family members recounted nostalgic stories of how the couple first met (childhood sweethearts) and how their love has matured over the years. At the end of one of the speeches, the bridal party surprised Meaghan + Luke with a flash mob! After Meaghan + Luke gave the final toast for the evening, they headed to the dance floor for their first dance. The band, Saturday Night Jive, provided the live music for each special dance. They rocked the house with old school funk hits! People couldn’t help themselves. They had to dance!
Thank you Meaghan + Luke for an amazing time! We couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful day! Thank you for your kind hearts and sincerely sweet personalities. We wish you all the best!
