Engagement Photography Session in Barrie, ON

Kristen + Dale Engaged!

Kristen first contacted us shortly after seeing her good friends’, Kayla + Adam’s, engagement session on our blog. She and Dale are planning a Caribbean destination wedding next spring, and were looking for a local photographer for their engagement session. We were delighted they chose us! They happen to be good friends with MANY of our couples, so we knew they’d be super great people!

Paul met up with Kristen, Dale and their adorable bulldog Griff at Sunnidale Park in Barrie, ON. Griff is quite the character (as you can see) and certainly had his own agenda. However, when it came time for his photos, he was a true professional.

Dale + Kristen have a great story! They met in high school. Dale even remembers what Kristen was wearing the first day he saw her! Fast forward to their engagement session, one word … geocaching. Dale hid a very special cache on one of their many geocaching adventures together. A number mosquitoes and red fire ants attacked Kristen along the way, but it didn’t matter. It was such a meaningful way to propose. Of course, Kristen said “I Do!”

Geochaching is about finding hidden treasures in nature, and that’s just what they did. They found love. The best cache ever!

From Sunnidale, we made our way to the industrial area in Barrie, one of our favourite spots. We ended the evening at Minet’s Point Beach, possibly one of the best spots for sunsets in Barrie.

Thank you Kristen + Dale for a fun evening, and for allowing us to be part of your story. We wish you all the best!
