We arrived just outside of Toronto, and found Marion + Will at the Holiday Inn. We began our day by joining them (and many loved ones) for a traditional Chinese Tea Ceremony. Wearing a stunning red gown, Marion radiated a pre-wedding glow. An atmosphere of love and family unity hung heavy in the air, as Marion + Will began to celebrate, not only their love, but their heritage. The room was packed with family members eager to give their well wishes to Marion + Will.
Marion changed out of her red dress, and put on her stunning white wedding gown. A tight bodice with a feathery train, all brought together with a touch a bling – a sparkly belt. Marion was lovely!
We met with Marion + Will at Liberty Village to document the official “first look,” then continued to take pictures of the bride + groom and their bridal party. Toronto citizens looked on as the gorgeous bride walked towards her blind-folded groom. The great unveiling was a beautiful moment. A real-life fairy-tale princess and her prince!
We, then, headed over to Atlantis Pavilions to get prepared for the ceremony. Guests poured in, and chatted excitedly, in Chinese and English. Then it was time … the moment when Marion would walk down the aisle with her father to meet Will.
Marion’s father handed her over to husband-to-be. There was not a dry eye in the room as Marion + Will exchanged their vows. They spoke of their unwavering commitment and enduring love. A few laughs, some tears and a box of Smarties later, it was official: Will and Marion were husband and wife!
Family and friends had a chance to take photos with the newlyweds, and then gathered to drink, eat and celebrate in the mezzanine above. Gathered together in a community of love, Marion + Will joined their guests to spend an evening celebrating their love and devotion.
With the CNE as a backdrop, lighting the night sky with a rainbow of colours, the evening was filled with a ten-course meal, fun games, choreographed dancing, and heart-felt speeches. Marion + Will expressed their deep appreciation and love to their friends, family and to each other. It was an amazing night! Thank you Marion + Will for inviting us to capture your day! Thank you everyone for all the great comments! I’d like to thank my friends Paul and Melanie for doing such a wonderful job at capturing every special little moment of our wedding! We first saw the Blog and watched the video on Sept 5th when we were on our honeymoon. I still remember Marion’s expression after we finished watching the video, just to quote her first words “Luvs…Luvs…LUVS IT!!!! =)” Thank you Melanie for putting together such a special highlight film for us. It’s everything we were hoping for and it’s simply perfect in every way! I think we’ve watched the video together everyday since Sept 5th. You guys are amazing and we were so blessed to have you capture our wedding memories which we will cherish forever! Hope to see you guys soon!
