The weather forecast predicted rain all day Saturday. When we arrived at the home of Christy’s parents, water poured from the sky. But it didn’t seem to concern Christy. You could tell that the most important thing to her was marrying the love of her life, Steve. We love our brides and their friendly demeanors… and super positive attitudes!
The ceremony and reception were held at WaterStone Estate & Farms. It’s a lovely horse farm in Newmarket with an expanse of land and panoramic views. When we arrived at the venue, everyone was setting up for an outdoor ceremony under the tent. Then, a few minutes later, the plan changed. They decided to have the ceremony indoors. But, the tables were already set up inside for the reception!! So… everyone worked together as a team, groom, groomsmen and all to reset the room for the ceremony. Ten minutes later (not kidding!) the room was transformed to a gorgeous setting for a ceremony! Go team!
Christy arrived in the limo looking stunning in her white dress and they exchanged personal vows in front of their family and friends. After the ceremony, the rain ended. So, we walked around getting some lovely photographs of the guests, bridal party and couple on property. A stray barn cat followed us around to each of our locations desperately trying to “photo bomb” the portrait session. Christy + Steve love animals, so it seemed apropos that they would have such an adorable visitor travel alongside us during their creative session.
Once dinner and speeches ended, Christy + Steve celebrated the night away with their loved ones. It was an incredible wedding! Thank you Christy + Steve for allowing us to capture your wedding day! We wish you all the best!
