Meghan + Sean | Barrie Wedding Photography

Meghan + Sean found us through their good friends, and one of our favourite couples from last year, Michelle + Rob. It’s always so nice to work with referred couples because the level of trust is there at the onset of the relationship.

We all knew it was going to be an emotional day because, both Meghan + Sean had lost one of their parents. They chose to honour them in the ceremony by placing symbolic roses in a vase. After the ceremony, Sean brought one of the roses out to his mothers burial site, which was right across the road from the church.

During the creative session, the limo followed me around town. We’d pull over, jump out, take a bunch of photos, then jump back in our cars, and repeat the cycle. On route, I found an ideal spot for wedding photos, which just so happened to be the home of the owner of the car that Megan + Sean were borrowing for the day! How convenient! They dropped off the car, hopped in their waiting limousine, and we all headed out to the next location.

While driving to the reception hall, I noticed a great auto body shop that would be perfect for portraits. It turned out that this particular shop was owned by Sean’s relative! But wait it gets better… Meghan’s deceased father’s car was parked right in front of us!! Meghan couldn’t believe her eyes! She was convinced that someone must have told me about it. Needless to say, it was very special for Meghan to have a photo with her dad’s car on her wedding day. The car even had the same license plates he had since she could remember.

I can honestly say I’ve never had anything happen like this before during a photo session. It was a wonderful series of incredible moments! Congratulations Meghan + Sean on a blessed wedding day …

… and Logan + Carter!

    1. Spactular pictures…fantastic locations. I cant wait to see more!

..can u edit the garage scene wording where Megan’s Dads car actually was. The Shop was Country Auto Electric and is actually owned by AmandaDewar’s (maid of honour and childhood friend)father. That car has been inside his shop since Pat Strimas’ death and was taken out to make space in the shop. It has never been outside …except for that one day! Dewar and Strimas families have been friends thru school..skating…baseball…girls growing up off to college and especially mechanical work done on their cars…by Louis Dewar at the shop.

      thanks so much.

WE will be intouch if we ever need professional photography …for sure!
