Blue Mountains Wedding | Abby + Ryan Highlight Edit
Abby + Ryan exchanged vows on June 11, 2011. It was a perfect wedding! Each bridal party started their preparations at two separate, lovely cottages in Blue Mountain, ON. The guys hung out playing foosball and billiards. The ladies relaxed, while sipping on champagne and singing happy songs to the bride. The maid of honor couldn’t make it because she was going into labour (Congratulations Alia!), but they made a point of including her in the day through a speakerphone champagne toast before heading off to the church.
After their ceremony, Abby + Ryan drove off in a chauffeured, blue vintage car to their photo shoot. We all had a blast! The creative session took place at the Grain Elevators in Collingwood, ON located next to the Georgian Bay. They took their family and bridal party photos, then busted out their cool shades and cracked each other up with silly poses.
The reception was held at Craigleigh Ski Club in Blue Mountains, ON. It’s a great spot for a wedding, and a perfect place for a video guest book. Abby + Ryan wanted to hear words of wisdom from their loved ones, so we set up a space for people to express themselves. Their guests certainly had some incredible, and hilarious advice for the newlyweds! We can’t wait until they see it!
Abby + Ryan live near Ottawa, so we didn’t get the opportunity to meet them in person until the day of the wedding. But, through our many emails and phone conversations with the family on speakerphone, we grew to know more about them and their love story.
We were first introduced to Abby + Ryan through Abby’s mom, Kathy. Abby was in the middle of finals in university (which she aced!), so Kathy was kind enough to help her with the initial stages of wedding planning. We could already tell that we were going to really enjoy spending the day with this incredible family! There is a kindness, respect and adoration between them that is a beautiful sight to witness.
Abby + Ryan are such an easy-going, fun-loving couple and we feel so blessed to know them and their endearing family. We were so happy to film this day! Congratulations Abby + Ryan!
